ON THE ZAKARPATZA ON THE BORDER WITH POLAND EARNED THE TEMPORARY POINT OF THE BORDER CROSSING

For five days, starting from today, the border crossing point “Lubnya – Volosatoy” will operate on the Ukrainian-Polish border. It was opened on the outskirts of the village of Lubnya, Velikobereznyansky district of the Transcarpathian region in accordance with agreements with the Polish side. The initiative to create the possibility of crossing the border to the Republic of Poland on the territory of Transcarpathia was implemented in the framework of the “Neighborhood Days of Ukraine and Poland”, carried out jointly with the Subcarpathian province.

There is a popular tourist route on the territory where a temporary border crossing point was opened today, so in the future it is planned to create a permanent international checkpoint where citizens of all countries of the world will be registered. Now the pass of persons is carried out from 08.00 to 20.00 under the valid documents on the right of crossing the border.

Control operations are carried out by border guards of the Chop detachment. Verification of documents is carried out with the use of the Gart-1 / P mobile complex, which ensures that information on registered individuals is entered into the general database of the border agency.

The first statistical figures indicate a fairly high interest of travelers to the opportunity to get to Poland in this particular place. As of 3:30 pm, 286 people were executed on leaving Ukraine, of which 200 are citizens of Ukraine and 86 are citizens of other states. 335 people were admitted to Ukraine, 124 of whom were Ukrainians and 211 foreigners.

The checkpoint will be open until May 5th.
